 Il CASELLO -1860 is a
characteristic pub named after the building where it is placed: an ancient signalman's
house - "casello" in Italian - dated back to 1860.
It is characterized by a fantastic view on the bay of Monterosso, on top of a cliff
vertically on the sea overseeing two of the most beautiful
beaches of the area
The two partners, Daniele e Francesco, have chosen to preserve and restore the most
faithful the original structure even with the... menu: the very special sandwiches are all
named after trains!
The lovely garden and little terrace outside give the customers the possibility of enjoing
the magical view eating and drinking also outdoor underneeth typical sunshades - choosing
between sandwiches, mixed ham and cheese or rich salads, taking refreshment during the
day.
Il Casello is the perfect place to have a tasty snack expecially for the visitors of the
beaches underneath and also for those who start or came back from the famous walk through
the 5 Terre: the pub is infact placed at the biginning of the path. At night the lovely
"café " becomes a real pub with music, sometimes live, giving the chance of
tasting exclusive special beers, coctails and choicing drinks during pleasant and unique
nights outdoor or over the sea.
