SPORT TRAINING PROGRAMS

The electrostimulation is a training technique used more and more in the sport fields. The athletes use the electric stimulation to integrate or replace the traditional training sessions. Those who can not train, those who want to improve some specific muscular features, those who aim at reaching a high-level athletic preparation can find in the electrostimulation an efficient solution to the specific needs. Together with the standard training sessions, the athletes have therefore the possibility to add some electrostimulation sessions to reach important objectives and high performances.

The electrostimulation can be used by the athlete to integrate the training sessions with additional exercises without having negative overload side effects on the joints, on the tendons, on the back etc. An electrostimulation session on the quadriceps can be compared to 300-400 jumps without compromising the leg joints.

The several electrostimulation programs can act on the different components of the muscular power: maximum power, explosive power, resistant power according to the practiced sport and to the training needs.

It is well known that the electrostimulation contributes to improve the athlete physical performances and to improve the ability to recover after specific efforts. A fundamental use of the electrostimulation in the sport field is, in fact, the active recovery after a training session or a competition. A higher and higher number of athletes have important benefits using this specific program which helps them getting rid of the toxins and of the lactic acid created by the intense performed effort.

The electrostimulation has always been identified as an useful technique in case of recovery after an accident or muscular problems. The problems of muscular hypotonicity can be successfully treated with the muscular electrostimulation.

These programs have been developed according to the most modern knowledge in the sector of the effort physiology. It is well known that the change of the stimulation parameters give different muscular answers. It has been therefore possible to develop some programs which, being supported by well structured training sessions, help the athlete physical preparation.

The available Sport Training programs are:

Maximum Power (Fast Muscle)

Maximum Power (Intermediate Muscle)

Explosive Power

Resistant Power

Muscular Volume

Aerobic Resistance

Active Recovery

THE POWER PROGRAMS

(programs 1, 2 Sport)

The programs 1 and 2 are destined to a training based on the Maximum Power. Program 1 is specific for the fast muscles and program 2 for the intermediate muscles (the slow muscles are rarely stimulated to increase the power because their features are based on the resistance and capillary treatment).

These are the programs suggested to those athletes who want to improve their MVP performances (maximum voluntary power), which is the base required for any kind of sport treatment.

THE PROGRAM OF EXPLOSIVE POWER

(program 3 Sport)

Program 3 is the Explosive Power program. This program is suggested to improve the explosive features of the fast muscles required in several sport activities (soccer, volleyball, jumps, ..). It allows to increase the maximum power generated by the muscle in a very short period of time. The muscular power improvement is fast and evident.

THE RESISTANT POWER PROGRAM

(program 4 Sport)

Program 4 is suggested to improve the Resistant Power features. The athletes can improve their ability to perform a power exercise for a relatively long period without any performance decrease. It is a muscular effort which refers to the anaerobic mechanism and which causes the production of lactic acid. In this way the trained muscle can bear a higher lactate production.

IMPORTANT: With this stimulation program it is important to use an intensity level which allows the optimal muscle contraction during the whole working period. It is advisable to avoid a too strong starting contraction which can cause an excessive muscular fatigue and a partial effectiveness limited to the first 15-20 seconds of the electrostimulation program.

THE MUSCULAR VOLUME PROGRAM

(program 5 Sport)

Program 5 for the Muscular Volume has been developed for those athletes (and not only for them) who need to increase the mass of their muscles. This program causes an increase in the muscle mass and it is particularly suitable for those who have an insufficient muscular structure or for those who practice sport activities, such as body-building, where the muscular mass is very important. This program allows to improve the muscle definition supporting the work performed in the gym.

THE AEROBIC RESISTANCE PROGRAM

(program 6 Sport)

Program 6 is a program of aerobic resistance: the athlete will use this kind of program to complete the aerobic treatment in those sport activities where it is important to have a good maximum level in the oxygen use. Using the aerobic mechanism of the muscular work, the oxidative ability of the muscles increases. In this case it is necessary to keep a light stimulation intensity, which allows the muscle to perform its work without producing lactic acid.

THE PROGRAM FOR THE ACTIVE RECOVERY

(program 7 Sport)

The electrostimulation is being used more and more frequently in the sport sector for the active recovery. This specific program allows to improve the muscular recovery after a competition or training. The electrostimulation helps to get rid of the lactic acid present in the athlete muscles and allows a faster recovery.

It is well known that with a suitable stimulus the recovery can be faster than in a condition of absolute rest. The stimulation does not have to cause a “strong” contraction but a muscular “vibration” which acts as a pump for the venous blood and helps the blood reflux to the heart, thus improving the blood circulation and the muscular oxygenation.
