The estate is situated in the Upper River Tiber Valley, only 9 km away from the town centre of Anghiari,35 km away from Arezzo, 150 away from Florece and 100 km away from the Rimini coast. You will find yourself immersed in the beautiful landscape of the Tuscan countryside and the green Umbrian hills that border the valley. The history of the Renaissance town of Sansepolcro immediately evokes its greatest townsman, Piero della Francesca, whose masterpieces, included one of his most beautiful frescos, the "Resurrection", can be admired at the local Museo Civico , whereas in the neighbouring town of Monterchi, the "Madonna del Parto" is kept, visited by millions of tourists every year. In September, the hometown of Piero della Francesca relives its Medieval traditions with very picturesque and traditional celebrations and events, such as the Flag-Waving Show, which is performed in the respect of historic traditions . In Anghiari, you will find one of the few museums dedicated to the ancient weapons and handicrafts. Anghiari is indeed the core centre of handicrafts in the province of Arezzo and promotes its own wooden products with an Exposition of local handicrafts, which is held from the end of April to the beginning of May and has now come to its 30th edition. This exposition attracts over 50,000 visitors every year and is an occasion to display masterpieces created by Arezzo and Tuscan craftsmen using several methods, from glass wrought, to restoration work, wrought steel, wrought gold, ceramics etc. In the week of Assumption Day, which falls on August 15th, Anghiari hosts an event known all over Italy called “Tovaglia a Quadri” (to attend the event, it is necessary to book at least one month in advance!!). During eight evenings, the centre of this Medieval village becomes the stage for an event that combines popular theatre with Tuscan culinary tradition.
