Jane Arnold Jane Arnold is head of the English Language Department at the University of Seville. She has given presentations and workshops on affective, humanistic language teaching for teachers in the US, Argentina, Singapore, Italy and many regions of Spain. Her publications include articles in journals such as TESOL Quarterly, ELT Journal, IATEFL Issues and the book Affect in Language Learning with Cambridge University Press. Joint Plenary with M. After looking at some aspects of imagery from the perspective of neurobiology, cognitive psychology and learning styles, we will present ways that mental imagery activities can to help our learners not only "to have" English but also "to be" in English. |
