Elizabeth I

Elizabeth I was one of best queens in the English history. During her reign the English Church was divided from Rome for the need of a politics of power, and between Henry VIII and Elizabeth English people were compelled by their tyrants to change religion four times. Elizabeth estabilished the reign less tyrannical of century, she continued Tudorian educational programs (Institution of Grammar Schools) and she lets space to liberty of expression relevant but extraordinary for the epoch. Never, writer writes, it was in London, dirty and violent city which bursted from its medieval town walls, concentration of talents wealth, of opportunity. London with Elizabeth becomes the first cultural capital in Europe, with the Elizabeth's court like centre of national culture, also in defence of nascent theatre from continual Puritan attacks.
