The efficiency

Electrostimulation can be used for several purposed, but the main factore is its efficiency. In order to reach this aim Relax Gym decided to cooperate with one of the world leaders in electrostimulation sector: Professor Poumarat and his staff of the Bio-mechanical department at Clermont-Ferrand University, placed in the middle of France. Professor Poumarat studied the product and its physiological features and started a constant cooperation relationship with Relax Gym. All programs and all features of the muscular electrostimulators are granted by the Laboratory of Tractor Performance at the University. The electrostimulators designed and produced by Relax Gym comply with important scientific criteria.

The University studied in details the most confortable and efficient pulses to obtain the desidered results on the basis of the most recent researches in the electrostimulation field. The frequency, the wave length, the working and resting periods are the elements whose influence can determine the efficiency of electrostimulation. Very few electrostimulators take into consideration the importance of these parameters, but it's necessary to know that. Also the contraction periods are determinant to maintain a constant efficiency during the whole treatment period. For example the treatment on the fast muscles foresees short working periods and longer resting periods in order to have a smaller amount of lactic acid and toxins and to obtain an effective stimulation during the whole 30-minute session.

 

Safety

Safety is a fundamental aspect in electrostimulation sector since these devices send electric pulses on human body. It's important to follow some fundamental precautions, such as:

• The warming up phase. The Magic Form programs have a preset warming up phase to prepare the muscle and to prevent any possible muscular extension.
• The limitation of the working period to avoid overloads. The duration of the Magic Form treatments is self-limited. At the end of the session the electrostimulator stops automatically (in case the user falls asleep...)
• Independent outputs to avoid risks of unsuitable regulation. Each output of Magic Form is completely independent and the regulation of one input does not influence the intensity of the others.
• The right position of the electrodes to obtain the best results from the stimulation. All drawing in the Magic Form instruction manual have been supplied by the University staff.
• The Magic Form wires are supplied with two "female" outpus (with a hole and not with a plug) so that the children can not use it risking to be subject to high electric pulses.

• The pulse supplied by the Magic Form electrostimulation is a two-phase symmetrical one with a zero average and it grants the maximum safety during the devise use by protecting the skin against possible burns, which might be caused by a single-phase pulse. The two-phase symmetrical square wave is accepted by the whole scientific world as the most suitable and the less noisy for the stimulation and it allows to bear high intensity contractions. The staff of Professor Poumarat lightly modified the wave in order to make it more acceptable by introducting a pause (Tr) between the positive (Tp) and the negative (Tn) pulse. With this solution most of the Magic Form users can consider the stimulation more acceptable than other competitive products.

N.B.: The Magic Form products comply with the norms referring to the safety of the electromedical products. These norms foresee, together wth a EC certified feeder, an additional safety transformer in order to avoid any kind of accidents even those caused by an improper use of the device. As far as we know, we are the only company which decided to uniform our products with these enforced norms.

THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE USED BY:

• People with a pace-maker or implanted metal devices.
• Pregnant women (up to two months after the bird)
• People suffering from epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, skin problems or people in post-operation convalescence.

The electrodes do not have to be positioned on body sensitive areas and on scars, naevis and varicose veins. They do not have to be used on the abdominal muscles if the coil is used. Do not apply the electrodes on the head or neck.
