ROME OF THE ROMANS

 

 

This tour is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City, we will enjoy a journey into ancient times, we will visit the Flavian Amphitheatre, more commonly known as the Colosseum, then admire the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Forum overlooked by the Palatine Hill where the Emperors built the Imperial Palace and where the founders of Rome, Romolo and Remo, were found. Continue past Trajan's column reach Piazza Venezia and the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele the II, just behind is the Capitoline Hill topped by the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius that has symbolised the power of Rome for over 2000 years, then onto the Circus Maximum where the famous chariot race of Ben Hur was filmed passing by the Marcello Theatre.
