SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO

 

 

This full day excursion will take us to the medieval town of Siena,
built on three hills, second only to Florence for its art in the Tuscany
Region. We will see the huge Cathedral, the Town Hall and the Piazza del
Campo, famous for the exciting Palio horse race.
We will then head to San Gimignano with its skyline of towers.
It is very well preserved, quietly monumental, enticingly rural
and with a fine array of religious and secular frescoes.
