say that 1 pound may be traded for the equivalent of 15
Cr.

- The Compass Rose
-
This is a partial conversion using the Central Supply
Catalog system.
Vessel: H.M.A. Compass Rose
Length: 325 ft (100 m)
Maximum Width: 33 ft (10 m)
Lift: 6 tons
Maximum Speed: 85 MPH
Engines: 800 HP methane turbine
Armor: Body: 1
Gondola: 2
USP: 8
To Hit: +5 Body
+2 Gondola
The Compass Rose was built 37 years ago, and is the last
surviving 'dig of her type. She is equipped to ram (but is
a weaker design than any comparable modern 'dig) and is
armed with two aerial torpedo launchers and three TL-5
machine guns (Damage:4 Range:Long Shots:200) Communications
equipment includes a G.C. wireless (which the hijackers
have syntonized to modern public frequencies) and a
powerful jamming transmitter (TL 8). The G.C. cannot use
A.B.C. Service Communicator frequencies. The hull is
camouflaged for night operations. There are no flickers
aboard.
Compass Rose was built for a crew of twelve; five gunners,
two engineers, and five others. Her maximum armaments load
was sixteen aerial torpedoes. She carries fuel for fifty
hours flight.
List of names
In order to maintain the alien feel of Rudyard, I
strongly suggest you to substitute any occurrences of the
following names with their "Rudyarite" equivalent.
Here is a list of proposed "Anglo-Indian Sounding Names" which
may prove of some use.
I hope that nobody takes offense at these: I claim no special
knowledge of Indian languages, dialects, history or culture.
They just sound good to me. YMMV
Remember that if you intend to use the players handouts
enclosed in FF1, you will have to modify names on the various
maps, too.
I've provided names for the main places and NPC's, but you
should carefully read the scenario beforehand and manually
modify any other name you expect to use in the adventure.

"Emergency" names
Here is a small selection of names in case you need a quick one
during the adventure. Just pick one and then delete it with a
pencil, so you won't re-use it, leading to players' confusion.
Aizawl, Bhatinda, Bhahuna, Bilaspa, Cambay, Diu,
Garyarsa, Ghanare, Karikal, Khola, Gupta, Madura, Maurya,
Mysore, Nhagar, Orissa, Puna, Srinagar, Tilak, Thanjav,
Vivekananda, Wardha.
Situational Conversions
Most of the tests in the FF system require a kind of
"Resistance Table" which pits and active effect (for example a
punch) against a defensive effect (for example a dodge).
Use the following ideas for the various tests:
- Attacks from objects.
- In a couple of cases, a PC may suffer "attacks" from
falling debris or other inanimate sources.
For the glass pieces falling from the ceiling, throw 1D6+8.
Ask each PC to throw 1D6+DEX. If the result is lower than the
one obtained for the pieces, the PC suffers 1D6 wounds.
Use a similar test for the snapping wires. Damage is
2D6.
- Other Sources of damage
- 3 points of Effect in FF count as 1D6 damage in T4. So an
Effect 15 explosion will cause 5d6 damage in T4. Round down
any fractions.
- Other Tasks
-
You should translate the various difficulties in the
scenario using the following scale:
FF | T4 Task
Difficulty | Code
|
3 | Easy
4 | Average
5 | Difficult
6,7 | Formidable
8+ | Staggering
|
