LANSA

LANSA is an Integrated CASE tool by Aspect Computing that allow developing miltiplatform client/server web applications.
It allows to define the structure of the relational database and define business rules and trigger to validate and automate processing.
The busoiness rules and the definitions are stored in the repository that is then reused by all parts of lansa to generate the applications

There are 4 main components of LANSA tool:

LANSA AD: AS/400 Application development environment, DDS, RPG
LANSA Web: Application development to deploy application on the WEB, generating HTML, JavaScript, XML
Visual LANSA: Application development on the PC, integrates the PC environemnt with server database AS/400 or other.
LANSA Client: Reporting tool that takes advanmtage of the repository defined with LANSA

LANSA open: A set of libraries to access the LANSA environment
LANSA Java XML Clinet: Gives the ability to run the application on a Java Appleet using XML
LANSA Commerce: Is a set of templates that allows to create an eBusiness application quickly from you existing database
